Nobody gets to the top alone
We are delighted to announce our partnership with Marco Kohler. PORT will accompany the ski racer over two seasons, starting with the 2026/27 World Cup winter.
Neither a World Cup career nor a young company comes about by chance. Both take ambition, endurance and people who keep going when others stop. That is exactly why we are taking on the next stage together.
Marco Kohler, 28, is at home in the fastest disciplines: downhill and super-G. Born in Meiringen and living in Beckenried, he is a member of the Swiss-Ski A team, won the 2022/23 downhill standings in the Europa Cup and has finished in the World Cup top ten several times – eighth in the Gröden downhill, ninth in Bormio. He states his goal without hesitation: the top of the world.
What convinced us was not the list of results but the consistency behind it. Anyone who wants to compete at the front in downhill works for months for hundredths of a second that nobody sees – in the weight room, in equipment testing, in the mind. We know this way of working from our own build-up: most of it happens before anyone is watching. «Marco pursues his path with a consistency we know from our own build-up – that is why this partnership fits PORT so well. As founders we have always been closely connected to winter sports and we know: what counts is not what you promise, but what you invest», says Carlo Früh, co-founder and delegate of the Board of Directors.
What connects us is above all attitude, not occupation. «We do completely different things, but our drive is exactly the same», says Marco Kohler. And he adds a sentence that applies to us as well: «I have a clear goal in mind. I want to get to the top, and I work on that every day. And I never forget where I come from.»
The same is true the other way round, and that is what makes this truly valuable for us. «What struck me immediately: a young team with real drive. Within five minutes you can tell they are building something – I know that from elite sport», says Marco Kohler. We accompany him on his way to the top of the world, and he reminds us that progress comes from repetition.
The partnership starts with the 2026/27 World Cup season and runs over two seasons – deliberately with perspective rather than as a brief appearance. We look forward to shared race weekends, to fast runs and to going part of this way together. Because nobody gets to the top alone. Marco, full speed ahead!
