Sell, rent – or develop? PORT in «Bilanz»

Anyone who owns a property knows two options: sell or rent. The third is rarely up for discussion. That is exactly where the article comes in with which PORT has been featured in «Bilanz» since 14 September.

The article «Was ein Grundstück wert ist – und was es wirklich kann» (what a plot of land is worth – and what it can really do) is aimed at owners, investors and decision-makers. Its starting point: the market value of a plot describes what stands on it today. What would additionally be possible under building law usually remains unanswered – not because the question is unimportant, but because zoning plans, floor area ratios, building law foundations and market prices are scattered across cantonal systems and municipal building regulations. A reliable initial assessment often takes days. In a market where opportunities close quickly, that is too long.

The second part describes what PORT makes of this. The analysis platform shows where a property stands today and what it could become; it is available to banks, brokers, planners and investors by subscription. Anyone who wants not only to analyse their plot but to have it realised has two routes: sell to PORT or develop with PORT – in the first case, PORT takes over the property and full project responsibility; in the second, PORT realises the project together with owners and investors who participate on a project basis. The focus is on affordable housing in Swiss agglomerations.
