Milestone: PORT acquires its first own development project

PORT Real Estate Development AG has acquired its first own real estate development project through its project company PORT Land I GmbH — a milestone in the company's history and the first site that PORT develops under its own responsibility: from acquisition through planning to the sale of the apartments. The transaction was notarized as planned on 26 August 2026.

In Hüttlingen in the canton of Thurgau, on the municipal border with Frauenfeld, within walking distance of the railway station and directly opposite the local school, PORT is developing two apartment buildings with 17 apartments and around 1,620 m² of living space on a plot of around 2,250 m². The apartments will be sold as condominiums and are aimed at families and working middle-class households looking for home ownership in a well-connected location. The total volume of the project is around CHF 12 million. The building permit is expected in the coming weeks, and occupancy of the apartments is planned for the second quarter of 2028.

Quote from the CEO Real Estate

«For a development company, the first own project is a true milestone: in Hüttlingen we have developed a project that fulfils our criteria and mission without compromise: railway station and school within walking distance, efficient floor plans — and prices that remain affordable for families. For us, the benchmark is not the biggest project, but one that meets our standards for affordable housing.»

Outlook

Further projects in eastern Switzerland are in preparation. PORT continuously evaluates plots and properties with development potential — data-driven via its own digital platform.
