What homeowners often overlook – PORT in the August issue of the HEV

The August issue of «St.Galler Hauseigentümer», the magazine of HEV Kanton St.Gallen and HEV St.Gallen, has been published as a large-circulation edition – with PORT on the cover and a two-page profile on pages 2 and 3.

The article «Das versteckte Potenzial: Was Hauseigentümer oft übersehen» (the hidden potential: what homeowners often overlook) is aimed at property owners in the region. Its thesis: many properties offer more possibilities than their owners suspect – from the unused attic to the building reserve on a generous plot to the old building that at first glance only signals a need for renovation. It also explains why growing Eastern Switzerland in particular depends on making better use of the existing stock instead of constantly developing new land.

The response

The article has sparked many reactions. Since its publication, we have received numerous responses from the region – from owners who have entered their address and from personal conversations. Much of it comes down to the same observation: many had never asked themselves what their own property could do. The feedback has been consistently positive – and it confirms that the topic matters to people in Eastern Switzerland.
